Experiment and experience creative products, how to get the best from them and incorporate the techniques into your own layouts, cards and 'off the page' projects.
We are very excited to welcome our guest instructors Andrea MacDonald, Alison Irwin and Marie Browning for this very special day.
Andrea MacDonald is an award winning scrapbook designer, who is published on a number of blogs. Andrea has taught at Camp Crop A Lot and continues to teach at Treasured Memories. Andrea's specialty is infusing colour and layers with extraordinary results. Alison Irwin is an award wining member of the Mid Island Weavers Group. Her hand weaving projects have been published in 'Handwoven' the magazine for weavers. Many of you will know Alison as part of the Island weaving community and from her creative workshop at Camp Crop A Lot 2011. Alison's knowledge and expertise with weaving is amazing. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to bring weaving techniques and textures to your paper projects!
Marie Browning is the Design Consultant for Tombow markers, and is a Certified Zentangle teacher. A best selling author of several books, she has published the first book on colouring Zentangles. Marie will be presenting two workshops; Beginner Zentangles and Tombow Marker Magic. In Beginner Zentangles, you'll learn the fascinating art form of repetitive stokes, to produce beautiful pieces of art with unexpected results. No drawing experience is needed (REALLY!), you'll feel better, and create something beautiful!
In Tombow Marker Magic, you will create three cards, two tags and a sampler sheet. You will also learn how to incorporate word stamps with your designs. This workshop is for everyone, beginner to advanced, presented in a fun and creative atmosphere. The remaining 5 workshops will be presented by Andrea and Sharon. Each workshop will feature techniques, tools and products you can use to bring colour, dimension and texture to your layouts, cards and projects. Mists, canvas, paper, stencils, inks, ribbon, paste, glaze and glitter are among the media we will be working with during these five fun workshops.
All presentations will be in keeping with our theme for the day, Techniques, Tips, Tags and Textures.
Your day includes 8 different workshops of about 80 minutes, each with written directions and completed samples, to store in a journal designed especially for this day!
You will have abundant work space in a bright, new classroom setting. Lunch and dinner are included!
